MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (a.k.a. “MMA”):

 

MMA is a full-contact sport that incorporates striking (both standing and on the ground) and wrestling and grappling techniques.  MMA Classes incorporate some elements from the kickboxing (Muay Thai) and BJJ (Jiu-Jitsu) classes with additional sport-specific elements. 


What you can expect to learn:  You will learn basic techniques of MMA including but not limited to fundamentals of kickboxing, BJJ, grappling, wrestling, and some Judo techniques.


Requirements:  Althletic gym shorts and shirt, MMA gloves, mouthpiece, athletic protector.  You can purchase these items at the JHTC Pro Shop.
